About me / Bio:
Zlatko Šugman was a renowned Slovenian actor, celebrated for his contributions to theatre, television, and film. Born in Gorišnica, he graduated from the Ljubljana Academy of Acting and became one of Slovenia's best-known actors. His career spanned several decades, during which he appeared in numerous Slovenian and Yugoslav productions. Šugman was known for his comedic roles, starting with his appearance in the 1962 film 'One Fine Day'. He was a member of various theatres, including the SLG Celje Theater and the SNG Drama Maribor, and remained with the Mestno gledalisce ljubljansko theatre for 27 years. His work earned him the highest Slovenian national award for lifetime achievement in the arts, the Prešeren Prize, as well as the Borstnik Ring for lifetime achievement in theatre. Šugman passed away in his home in Ljubljana, leaving a legacy that continues to inspire.
