About me / Bio:
Milan Komar, also known as Emilio Komar, was a Slovene Argentine Catholic philosopher and essayist. Born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, he was deeply influenced by Neo-Scholasticism, Personalism, and Christian Realism. His philosophical journey began under the tutelage of Aleš Ušeničnik and Eugeni Vasilievitch Spektorsky and continued in Turin with Giuseppe Gemellaro and Carlo Mazzantini. A prolific writer and thinker, Komar's works were initially prohibited in Slovenia during the Communist regime but gained recognition in Latin America, Spain, and Italy. He was honored by Pope John Paul II with the Order of St. Gregory the Great for his contributions to philosophy and pedagogy.
