Anton Strle was a Slovenian professor of dogmatic theology and a Catholic priest, venerated in the Roman Catholic Church. Born in Osredek, he was ordained in 1941 and received his D.D. degree from the University of Ljubljana. He faced imprisonment and forced labor under communist Yugoslavia, later becoming a parish administrator and a professor at the Faculty of Theology in Ljubljana. He published numerous theological works and was appointed a papal domestic prelate by Pope Paul VI. In 2015, his cause for sainthood was opened.
