Sanne Bruel

Sanne Brüel was a Danish singer and musician who was one of the most popular and influential artists in Denmark. She started her career as a perfume saleswoman, but later pursued her passion for singing. She made her professional debut in 1957 with the song "Fiskerpigens sang", which became a huge hit. She also won the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix in 1960 with the song "Det var en yndig tid" and represented Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest, where she finished in joint 10th place. She also appeared in many films and TV shows, such as Jomfruburet, Valsedrømme, Flagermusen, and Matador. She was known for her comedic talent, her powerful voice, and her ability to sing in various genres, such as pop, rock, disco, and schlager. She also recorded several albums and songs, some of which became classics in Danish music. She received many awards and honors, such as the Teaterpokalen, the IFPI Honorary Award, and the Order of the Dannebrog. She died of cancer at the age of 59.
