Anders Frandsen

Anders Frandsen was a Danish musician, singer, actor and TV presenter. He started his career as a theatre performer in the 1980s and later became a TV presenter on Kanal 2. He rose to fame when he won the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix in 1991 with the song "Lige der hvor hjertet slår", which represented Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest that year. He also hosted several TV shows on TV3, such as "Knald eller Fald" and "Stjerneskud". He released a self-titled album in 1992, produced by Michael Elo, who wrote his winning song. He later withdrew from the media and opened his own company, Corpus Copenhagen, that produced gift items. He also invented the butter box, cheese box and other products. He moved to Thailand for a while, but returned to Denmark and lived in Hellerup. He died by suicide at the age of 51, leaving a note to his family. He was found with a garden barbecue in his bedroom, which caused carbon monoxide poisoning.
