Oswaldo Mendoza Baca

Oswaldo Mendoza Baca was a Peruvian chemist and professor, born on August 5, 1908, in Cusco, Peru. He was known for his work in genetics and his passion for teaching. Baca pursued his education at the National College of Sciences and Arts of Cuzco and later at the National University of San Antonio Abad in Cuzco, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science. His academic journey led him to Spain on a grant, but the Spanish Civil War prompted his return to Peru. He served as the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Cusco until his death on April 9, 1962. His notable contributions to chemistry and genetics are remembered through his publications and the legacy he left in the scientific community.
