Qais Al Zawawi

Qais Bin Abdul Munim Al Zawawi was a prominent Omani politician and businessman. Born on August 27, 1935, in Muscat, Oman, he played a significant role in the country's political and economic development. He served as the second foreign minister for the Sultanate of Oman and later as Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Financial affairs. Al Zawawi was a visionary who contributed to Oman's modernization and economic growth. He founded Alawi Enterprises, a holding company for the Zawawi Group, which became one of Oman's most successful business conglomerates. His dedication to his work and his country's progress made him a respected figure both nationally and internationally. Al Zawawi's legacy continues through the institutions and businesses he established, which still play a vital role in Oman's economy. He passed away tragically in a car accident on September 11, 1995, in Salalah, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and innovation.
