About me / Bio:
Dawee Chullasapya was a prominent figure in Thailand's military and sports. Born on August 8, 1914, in Thonburi, Siam, he rose to the rank of Air Chief Marshal in the Royal Thai Air Force and was a member of the Seri Thai (Free Thai Movement) during World War II. His military career was distinguished, and he served as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. In politics, he held several key positions, including Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence. In the sporting world, he was the head of Thailand's National Olympic Committee for 22 years and a member of the International Olympic Committee. He also won a silver medal in sailing at the 1970 Asian Games. Dawee passed away on May 18, 1996, in Bangkok, leaving behind a legacy of service to his country both in the military and in sports.
