Henriette Bùi Quang Chiêu was a trailblazer in Vietnamese medicine, known for being the first female medical doctor in Vietnam. She pursued her medical studies in France and graduated in 1934, returning to Vietnam to lead the Department of Midwifery at Cho Lon Hospital. Despite facing challenges due to her gender and the colonial context of the time, she made significant contributions to the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Her work and dedication to medicine left a lasting impact on healthcare in Vietnam.
