Vu Giang Huong

Vũ Giáng Hương was a prominent Vietnamese painter known for her silk paintings. Born in Hanoi, she was the first child in a family that became famous in many fields. Her father, writer Vũ Ngọc Phan, and mother, poet Hàng Phượng, provided her with a rich educational background. She showed a gift for painting from an early age and studied under influential teachers. After graduating, she taught and held the position of vice principal at the Vietnam Fine Arts College until 1988. She played a significant role in the development of Vietnam's art scene and education.
