Anisa Wahab was a prominent Afghan actress and singer, whose career in theatre began in her childhood. Born in 1957 in Kabul, she started acting on Afghan television as a child. Her passion for the arts led her to teach children singing and to perform at the Mazar Theater. Wahab co-founded Theatre Exile in Pakistan, a company by exiled Afghan performers, and performed internationally. She was involved in projects supporting child rights and worked with the BBC on soap operas. Wahab's dedication to the arts and her advocacy for human rights and women's rights were evident throughout her life. She passed away on April 18, 2010, in Kabul, leaving behind a legacy of artistic excellence and cultural contribution.
