He cooperated with Kjell Lund in an architectural firm partnership for many years, creating several notable buildings in Norway, such as Asker Town Hall, St. Hallvard's Church and Monastery, Chateau Neuf, and Det Norske Veritas headquarters. He was influenced by the Norwegian wood architecture, adapting old techniques to modern production demands. He also participated in the reconstruction of Finnmark after the war, serving as a district architect in Vadsø and Tana. He received several awards and honors for his work, such as the Houen Foundation Award and the Sundt Prize. He was also involved in teaching, jurying, and editing in the field of architecture. He died in 2001 at the age of 77.
