Juan Bustillo Oro

Juan Bustillo Oro was a Mexican filmmaker who was prolific during the Golden Age of Mexican Cinema. He distinguished himself by making films of melodramatic and nostalgic tone of the revolutionary and Porfirian era, such as In the Times of Don Porfirio, Mexico of My Memories, When the Children Leave and Here's the Point. He also made some horror films, such as Two Monks and The Black Angel. He was a pioneer of sound cinema in Mexico and collaborated with many famous actors and actresses, such as Cantinflas, Dolores del Río, Pedro Armendáriz, and María Félix. He was awarded the Ariel de Oro in 1980 for his contribution to Mexican cinema.
