Abdullahi Dikko Inde was a Nigerian government official who served as the Comptroller-General of Nigerian Customs Service from August 2009 to August 2015. He was an alumnus of Government College, Kaduna and the University of Dimitrov Apostle Tshenov, Svishtov, Bulgaria, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's degree in finance. He joined the Nigerian Customs Service in 1988 and rose through the ranks to become the head of the agency in 2009. He introduced a six-point agenda to transform the service, improve its efficiency and revenue generation, and modernize its operations. He also became the vice chairman of the World Customs Organization during his tenure. He retired voluntarily in 2015 and died in 2021 at the age of 60 after a brief illness. He was buried according to Islamic rites at the National Mosque in Abuja. He is remembered as the father of modern Nigeria Customs and a humble and passionate leader who served the nation with integrity and dedication.
