Ghulam Muhammad Ghobar

Ghulam Muhammad Ghobar was an Afghan historian, journalist, and politician who wrote extensively on the history and politics of Afghanistan. He was born in 1897 in Kabul, Afghanistan. He received his education from learned men and worked as a bookbinder, a librarian, a soldier, and an administrator. He was also involved in the social democratic movement and the anti-colonial struggle. He wrote several books, including Afghanistan in the Course of History, which is considered one of the most comprehensive and authoritative works on Afghan history. He also wrote biographies, essays, critiques, and poems. He was arrested and imprisoned several times by different regimes for his political views and activities. He died in 1978 in Kabul, Afghanistan. He is regarded as one of the most prominent and influential historians and intellectuals of Afghanistan.
