Lilia Aragon

Lilia Aragón was a Mexican film, television, and stage actress and politician. She was the Secretary of the National Association of Actors. She also served as Deputy of the LIX Legislature of the Mexican Congress representing the Federal District as replacement of Elba Esther Gordillo. She began her acting career in 1970 and appeared in more than 30 telenovelas, such as Cuna de lobos, De frente al sol, and Amores verdaderos. She also starred in films such as The Garden of Aunt Isabel and Morgana. She was known for her strong and antagonistic characters, as well as her social activism and defense of actors' rights. She died on August 2, 2021, at the age of 82, due to intestinal problems.
