Manuel Ojeda

Manuel Ojeda was a Mexican actor who was one of the most active actors of television and cinema in Mexico. He played the villain Zolo in the Hollywood film Romancing the Stone. He studied acting at the Instituto de Bellas Artes and started his career in theatre. He worked in the cinema since the mid-1970s, appearing in films such as Canoa, Pedro Páramo, Eagle's Wing, Luna caliente, and El infierno de todos tan temido. He also participated in dozens of telenovelas with Televisa, such as Santa, Senda de gloria, El vuelo del águila, La gata, Por ella soy Eva, and Corazón guerrero. He died on 11 August 2022 at the age of 81 due to a liver disease. He was remembered as a versatile and talented actor who left a mark on Mexican culture.
