About me / Bio:
Abdulkadir Kure was a Nigerian politician who served as Governor of Niger State from 1999 to 2007. He was a member of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and a staunch supporter of Sharia law in his state. He was also an advocate of northern solidarity and opposed the resource control agitation by the Niger Delta region. He was married to Zainab Abdulkadir Kure, a former senator, and had six children. He died in Germany at the age of 60 due to kidney failure. He was buried in Minna, Niger State, with a state funeral. He was described as a visionary leader, a loyal party man, and a humble person by his associates and admirers.
