Monika Dannemann

Monika Dannemann was a German figure skater and painter, mainly known as the last girlfriend of guitarist,singer Jimi Hendrix and later the wife of the German guitarist Uli Jon Roth of the Scorpions. She met Hendrix in 1969 and claimed to be engaged to him before his death in 1970 at her apartment in London. She was involved in several controversies and lawsuits regarding Hendrix's death and his estate. She also collaborated with Roth on some songs and album covers, and published a book about her experience with Hendrix titled The Inner World of Jimi Hendrix in 1995. She died of suicide by carbon monoxide poisoning in 1996, two days after losing a court case against another of Hendrix's girlfriends, Kathy Etchingham. ¹
