Annalise Braakensiek

Annalise Braakensiek was an Australian model and actress who had a successful career in the fashion and entertainment industry for over 25 years. She was also a designer, a vegan blogger, and a mental health ambassador. She was born in 1972 in Sydney, New South Wales, to a Dutch father and a Norwegian mother. She grew up in a hippie commune and was bullied at school for being different. She started modelling at the age of 16 and soon became a popular face in magazines such as Cosmopolitan, Cleo, and Sports Illustrated. She also pursued acting and appeared in several TV shows, such as Pizza, Home and Away, and Heartbreak High. She also had roles in films such as Mr. Accident and Fat Pizza. She was known for her comedic talent and her stunning looks. She also worked as a jewelry and lingerie designer, creating her own brands Annalise and Love by Annalise. She was a passionate vegan and animal rights activist, and wrote a blog called Love Lunch where she shared her recipes and lifestyle tips. She also supported various charities and causes, such as the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre, the RSPCA, and R U OK?. She married stockbroker Danny Goldberg in 2002 and they lived in Bondi Beach. They separated in 2018 after 16 years of marriage. She struggled with depression and loneliness after the breakup and posted several messages on social media expressing her feelings. She was found dead in her Potts Point apartment on January 6, 2019, at the age of 46. Police said there were no suspicious circumstances. Her death was ruled as suicide by the coroner. Her friends and family were shocked and saddened by her loss. They remembered her as a beautiful, kind, and generous person who touched many lives.
