Constantin C. Giurescu was a prominent Romanian historian, a member of the Romanian Academy, and a professor at the University of Bucharest. Born in Focșani, he was the son of historian Constantin Giurescu. He completed his education in Bucharest and furthered his studies in Paris. His career was marked by significant contributions to the field of history, including his works on the history of Romanians and medieval Southeast Europe. Despite facing political imprisonment during the Communist regime, he continued his academic pursuits and left a lasting legacy through his extensive historical writings.
