Sood Sangvichien

Sood Sangvichien was a renowned Thai medical doctor and anatomist, born on November 29, 1907, in Samutprakan Province. He graduated from Chulalongkorn University in 1930 and furthered his studies in anatomy at the University of Michigan and Western Reserve University. Upon returning to Thailand, he began teaching at Siriraj Hospital's Faculty of Medicine, where he became a professor and later the dean. His significant contributions include pioneering work in archaeology and physical anthropology, making the first detailed studies of prehistoric skeletal remains in Thailand during the 1960s. He passed away on June 8, 1995, and his legacy continues through his contributions to medical education and research.
