Chin Faithes, born on April 1, 1946, in Sukhothai Province, Thailand, was a renowned Luk thung singer-songwriter. He began his career with the Cheer Ramwong band and rose to fame in the 1950s. His debut album 'Luk thung Ram Luek' and subsequent songs like 'Phet Luang Nai Salam' and 'Yor Yot Pra Lor' became immensely popular. In 1999, he was honored as a National Artist of Thailand for his contributions to the performing arts. Chin Faithes passed away from colon cancer on May 18, 2017, leaving behind a legacy that shaped the Luk thung music genre.
