Pan Sukhum

Pan Sukhum, known by his noble title Chaophraya Yommarat, was a prominent figure in the government of Siam under Kings Chulalongkorn and Vajiravudh. He played a significant role in the modernization of the country, overseeing public works projects such as the introduction of electricity and waterworks in the capital. He also established the country's first cement factory, which later became the Siam Cement Group. His contributions to the development of Siam were substantial, and he is remembered as a key figure in the country's history.
