Roman Viktyuk

Roman Viktyuk was a renowned theatre director, actor, and screenwriter. Born in Lviv, he graduated from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts in Moscow and had a prolific career spanning several decades. He worked across various cities and was known for his innovative theatre productions. Viktyuk became particularly famous for his staging of "The Maids" by Jean Genet. In 1991, he established the Roman Viktyuk Theater, which later became a state theater.
