Ariel Camacho

Ariel Camacho was a Mexican musician and singer-songwriter who performed regional Mexican music, mainly corridos. He was the lead singer and lead guitarist of his group, Ariel Camacho y Los Plebes del Rancho. He became known as La Tuyia, a childhood nickname given to him by his grandfather because his guitar was much bigger than him. He started playing the guitar at age 7 and singing at age 12. He formed his band in 2013 and signed with DEL Records in 2014. He quickly gained popularity for his soft vocals and skillful guitar-playing. He collaborated with other corrido singers and released several successful songs and albums, such as El Karma, Hablemos, Te Metiste, and Rey de Corazones. He was nicknamed El Rey de Corazones after his song of the same name. He died in a car accident on February 25, 2015, at the age of 22, while returning from a music festival. He left behind a legacy of music and fans who admired him for his talent and style.
