Lone Maslocha

Lone Maslocha was born in Klucze, Poland, on 26 October 1921. She was the daughter of the Danish engineer Knud Mogensen and his wife Louise, who worked for the cement firm FLSmidth. The family moved back to Denmark in the 1930s due to the political situation in Poland. Lone was educated as a photographer by Rigmor Mydtskov and became involved in the resistance movement together with her two brothers. She worked for the clandestine journals Studenternes Efterretningstjeneste and Hjemmefronten, and took photographs for the sabotage group Holger Danske. She also joined the Polish intelligence service in Denmark, where she met her husband Lucjan Maslocha, who was the leader of the Polish resistance in Denmark. They married secretly on New Year's Eve 1944, but were discovered by a Gestapo patrol two days later. Lone was killed on the spot, while Lucjan died of his wounds eight days later.
