Ignacio Padilla

Ignacio Padilla was a Mexican writer whose works were translated into several languages. He was one of the founders of the Crack Movement, a literary group that challenged the dominant trends of Latin American literature in the 1990s. He studied communication, English literature, and Hispanic-American literature in Mexico, Scotland, and Spain. He worked as an editorial director for Playboy magazine, a columnist for Sábado magazine, and a cultural attaché at the Mexican Embassy in London. He also taught literature at various universities and institutions. He published novels, short stories, essays, and children's books, winning several awards and recognition for his work. He died in a car crash in 2016 at the age of 47.
