Enebeli Elebuwa

Enebeli Elebuwa was a Nigerian actor, producer and a television personality. He was popularly known for playing the role of a king and title chief in several Nollywood movies. He was born on 14th February 1947 in Delta State in the south southern part of Nigeria and died on 4th December 2012 in New Delhi, India at the age of 65 years old. He started his acting career in the 1970s and featured in many soap operas and television shows. He rose to fame in 1987 after starring in the Nigerian drama film "Domitilla". He also played the role of Andrew in a popular television commercial in the 1980s. He was one of the most recognizable and respected faces in the ever growing Nigerian entertainment industry and on the African continent as a whole. He suffered a major stroke in 2011 and was flown overseas for medical treatment. He died in a hospital in India and was laid to rest at Vaults & Gardens, Ajah, Lagos. He was survived by his four children and many grandchildren. He was a mentor and a role model to many aspiring actors and actresses in Nigeria. He contributed immensely to the growth and development of Nollywood and the Nigerian film industry. He was a legend and an icon in the Nigerian movie industry.
