Sean McClory

Sean McClory was an Irish actor who had a long and diverse career in film and television. He started his acting journey at the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, where he performed in comedies by Yeats and Shaw. He moved to Hollywood in 1947 and appeared in various roles, often as an Irish policeman or a villain. He worked with John Ford in several films, most notably The Quiet Man, where he played one of the Irish villagers. He also starred in other genres, such as westerns, thrillers, and sci-fi. He was known for his cultured and neutral Irish accent, which made him versatile and adaptable. He also directed and wrote some projects, such as The Dead and The Magical World of Disney. He was married twice and had no children. He died of heart failure in 2003 at the age of 79.
