Mustafa Kamil Pasha

Mustafa Kamil Pasha was a prominent Egyptian nationalist leader who opposed the British occupation of Egypt. He was educated in law in Cairo and Toulouse, and became a lawyer and journalist. He founded the Watani Party, the first secular nationalist party in Egypt, and the newspaper Al-Liwa, which advocated for Egyptian independence and constitutional reform. He also supported the Khedive Abbas Hilmi II, who resisted the British influence over Egypt. He was influenced by the French Revolution and the ideals of liberty, equality, and fraternity. He was a charismatic speaker and a popular figure among the Egyptian masses. He died of pneumonia at the age of 33, leaving behind a legacy of nationalism and resistance.
