Muhib Al Din Al Khatib

Muhib Al Din Al Khatib was a Syrian Salafi writer and editor who lived in the late 19th and early 20th century. He was influenced by the teachings of Muhammad Abduh and Rashid Rida, and was involved in various political and cultural movements in the Arab world. He was an advocate of Arab nationalism, Islamic reform, and anti-colonialism. He wrote several books and articles on Islamic history, theology, law, and politics, as well as a controversial anti-Shia pamphlet. He also founded and edited several newspapers and magazines, such as Al Qibla, Al Irtiqa, Al Fath, and Al Minhaj. He was the maternal uncle of Ali Al Tantawi, a prominent Egyptian scholar and preacher. He died in Cairo in 1969 at the age of 82.
