Ashraf Sinclair

Ashraf Sinclair was a Malaysian actor who rose to fame for his role as Eddy in the 2005 film Gol & Gincu and its television spin-off series. He also appeared in other Malaysian and Indonesian films and shows, such as Saus Kacang, Cinta dan Anugerah, and Dosa: Sacred Sin. He was also a host of several programs, such as Box Office Now, Beat TV, and Anugerah Planet Muzik. He was a venture partner of 500 Startups, a global venture capital seed funder. He was married to Indonesian singer and actress Bunga Citra Lestari, with whom he had a son. He died of a heart attack in Jakarta at the age of 40. He was buried in San Diego Hills, West Java. He was the eldest of three siblings, his sister is Aishah Sinclair and his brother is Adam Sinclair, who is married to Malaysian singer Yuna. He was born in London to a British father and a Malay mother, and moved to Malaysia in 1986. He became a Malaysian citizen when he was 16 years old. He held a Bachelor in Mass Communication from Universiti Teknologi Mara. He was known for his charming personality, his support for his wife's career, and his love for his family and friends.
