Yopie Latul was an Indonesian singer who started his career in 1982. He became known to the public after releasing his single "Ayun Langkahmu" by Elfa Secioria and Wieke Gur in 1986. He also sang "Kembalikan Baliku" by Guruh Soekarnoputra at the 1987 Indonesian Popular Song Festival. He was famous for popularizing the ethnic dance song "Poco-Poco" in 1995, which won him the 2001 Indonesian Music Award for Best Disco,House Music,Rap,Dance Music Singer. He collaborated with many other singers and composers, such as Trie Utami, Mus Mujiono, Deddy Dhukun, Ancha Haiz, Andi Meriem Matalatta, and Cavin Sahilatua. He died of COVID-19 in 2020, two days after his 65th birthday.
