Dinis Martins Vital

Dinis Vital was a Portuguese footballer who played as a goalkeeper for several clubs, most notably Lusitano Évora and Vitória Setúbal. He was born on 2 July 1932 in Grândola, Portugal. He made his debut for Lusitano Évora in 1951 and played for them until 1966, making 361 appearances and scoring one goal. He then joined Vitória Setúbal, where he played for four seasons and won the Portuguese Cup in 1967. He retired in 1975, after playing for Juventude Évora, União Montemor, and Juventude Évora again. He also earned one cap for the Portugal national team in 1959, in a 3-4 defeat against Switzerland. He later became a coach and managed several teams, including Juventude Évora, Lusitano Évora, Farense, and Vasco da Gama Sines. He died on 17 September 2014 in Évora, Portugal, at the age of 82.
