About me / Bio:
Anton Dolin was an English ballet dancer and choreographer who had a distinguished career with the Ballets Russes, the Vic-Wells Ballet, the Markova-Dolin Ballet, the London Festival Ballet, and the Ballet Theatre. He was known for his roles in The Prodigal Son, Giselle, Swan Lake, and Pas de Quatre. He also created several original ballets, such as Variations for Four and Capriccioso. He wrote several books about his life and art, such as Ballet Go Round and Alicia Markova: Her Life and Art. He was knighted in 1981 for his contributions to ballet. He died of a heart attack in Paris in 1983 at the age of 79.
