Xuan Dieu

Xuân Diệu was a Vietnamese poet, journalist, short-story writer, and literary critic, best known as one of the prominent figures of the twentieth-century Thơ mới (New Poetry) Movement. His work is characterized by a distinct voice influenced by Western literature, notably French symbolism. He was a member of the Vietnamese Communist Party and his themes often reflected the Party's resistance against foreign forces. Xuân Diệu's poetry is celebrated for its passionate expression of love and beauty.
