Khairullah Anosh was a prominent Afghan politician and a member of the National Islamic Movement of Afghanistan (Junbish-e Milli-yi Islami-yi Afghanistan). He served as the district governor of Andkhoy District of Faryab Province from 2005 to 2010, and then as the governor of Samangan Province from 2010 to 2018. He was known for his efforts to improve the security and development of Samangan, especially in the areas of education, health, agriculture, and infrastructure. He also supported the peace process and the reconciliation of the Taliban with the Afghan government. He died of a heart attack on June 9, 2018, at the age of 53. He was widely mourned by the people of Samangan and Faryab, as well as by the national and provincial authorities. He was praised as a loyal, honest, and dedicated leader who served his country with dignity and courage.
