Aud Schonemann

Aud Schønemann was a Norwegian actress, regarded by many as the leading comedienne of her generation in Norway. She started her acting career in 1945, and appeared in over 50 movies, which is a Norwegian record. She is probably best known for her role as Valborg Jensen in the Olsenbanden movies, as Marve Fleksnes' mother on the long-running Norwegian television comedy Fleksnes Fataliteter and as the janitor's wife in the comedy film Skulle det dukke opp flere lik er det bare å ringe. She also played in many other films and TV shows, such as Fredrikssons fabrikk, Nr. 13, and Flåklypa Radio. She was also a voice actor and a singer. She received many awards and honors for her work, such as the Teaterkritikerprisen, the Leif Justers ærespris, the Oslo bys kulturpris, the Amandakomiteens ærespris, the St. Hallvard-medaljen, and the St. Olavs Orden. She was married to actor and NRK employee Jan Pande-Rolfsen from 1948 until his death in 2002. They had one son, Pål Pande-Rolfsen, who is also an actor. She suffered a stroke in 2003, which left her unable to speak. She died in 2006 at the age of 83. She was buried at Vestre gravlund in Oslo. A statue of her was unveiled outside Oslo Nye Teater in 2010.
