Shah Shujah Durrani

Shah Shujah Durrani was the ruler of the Durrani Empire from 1803 to 1809 and then from 1839 until his death in 1842. He was of the Sadduzai line of the Abdali group of Pashtuns and became the fifth King of the Durrani Empire. His reign was marked by the struggle for power among various factions, and he was eventually overthrown. He sought refuge with the British and later returned to power with their support, only to be assassinated in 1842. His life and reign were significant in the history of Afghanistan, influencing the politics and power dynamics of the region.
