About me / Bio:
Umer Sharif was a Pakistani comedian, actor, director, producer, writer, singer, and television personality who was widely regarded as the king of comedy in Pakistan and India. He started his career as a stage performer at the age of 14 and later wrote, acted, and directed many popular stage plays, such as Bakra Qistoon Pe, Buddha Ghar Pe Ha, and Yes Sir Eid. He also appeared in many films and television shows, such as Mr 420, Mr Charlie, Parda Na Uthao, and The Shareef Show. He was known for his witty and humorous style of comedy, his impersonations of celebrities, and his social satire. He also participated as a guest judge on the Indian comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. He was awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan in 2019. He died of heart failure in Germany in 2021, at the age of 66.
