Juan Gabriel

Juan Gabriel was a Mexican singer and songwriter who is widely regarded as one of the best and most prolific Latin music artists of all time. He started his career in 1971 with the release of his first album, El Alma Joven, which included the hit song "No Tengo Dinero". He went on to record over 30 studio albums, as well as numerous live albums and compilations. He also wrote songs for many other singers, such as Rocío Dúrcal, Lucha Villa, Lola Beltrán and Paul Anka. He was known for his flamboyant style, which broke barriers within the Latin music industry. He was nicknamed "El Divo de Juárez" and "Juanga" by his fans. He received many awards and honors, including six Grammy nominations, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and the Latin Recording Academy's Person of the Year in 2009. He died of a heart attack on August 28, 2016, at the age of 66, while on tour in the United States. His death caused a national mourning in Mexico and a worldwide tribute to his legacy. He is considered a cultural icon and a source of inspiration for many artists and people.
