Didi Adodo was a Nigerian labour leader and politician who served as the Secretary General of the defunct United Labour Congress of Nigeria (ULC) and the Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ISSSAN). He was also a two-time commissioner in Edo State under the administration of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, overseeing the ministries of Land and Survey, as well as Establishment and Special Duties. He was a student union activist who graduated from the University of Benin with a BSc in Political Economy. He was a founding member of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) and its Secretary General under the Senior Staff Consultative Association of Nigeria before it was registered in 2005. He was involved in the creation of many civil society platforms, especially on the left, that galvanized various popular struggles against the retrogressive actions and policies of past and present governments in Nigeria. He was a vocal advocate for workers' rights, social justice, and democracy. He died on January 12, 2021, after a brief illness from COVID-19 complications. He was 57 years old.
