Joana Sainz Garcia

Joana Sainz García was a Spanish singer and dancer who was part of the Super Hollywood Orchestra, a 15-member musical group that performed pop and Latin music. She was born in Santander, a port city on Spain's north coast, and later moved to Suances, also in Cantabria. She started her artistic career as a teenager, and joined the Super Hollywood Orchestra in 2016. She was the lead dancer and choreographer of the group, and also sang some songs. She toured with the group around Spain and other countries, such as France, Portugal, and Italy. She was known for her charisma, energy, and talent on stage. She died on September 1, 2019, while performing at a music festival in Las Berlanas, a town near Madrid. A pyrotechnic device malfunctioned and exploded next to her, hitting her in the abdomen. She was taken to a hospital, but could not be saved. She was 30 years old. Her death shocked the music industry and her fans, who paid tribute to her on social media and in public events. She was buried in Las Berlanas, where she had her last performance.
