Ragaa Al Geddawy

Ragaa Al Geddawy was an Egyptian actress and model who had a fruitful six-decade career in the entertainment industry. She started as a fashion model in 1958 and then moved to acting in films and TV series. She was known for her roles as aristocratic women and her elegant style. She acted in more than 100 films and TV series, such as The Nightingale’s Prayer, A Rumor of Love, The Three Musketeers, My Wife’s Dignity, The Doorman, Cinderella, Grand Hotel, and Forgetfulness Games. She was also a stage actress and appeared in plays such as Marriage Manners and An Honest Advise for Ladies. She was one of the most beloved and prominent actresses in the Middle East and received many awards and honors for her work. She was married to Hassan Mokhtar, a professional football player, and had one daughter, Amira, who is also an actress. She died on 5 July 2020 at the age of 85 from complications of COVID-19. She was buried in her hometown of Ismailia.
