Asim Jamil

Asim Jamil was the son of Maulana Tariq Jamil, a renowned Islamic scholar and preacher in Pakistan. He was a businessman who ran AJW Industry, a company that manufactured food processing machinery and equipment for various sectors such as agro-industry, snacks, bakery, spices, herbs, poultry, cattle feed, chemical, pharmaceuticals, extraction, distillation, and special purpose. He was fond of fitness and sports, especially shooting and hunting. He often posted photos and videos of his activities on his social media accounts. He died in October 2023 after sustaining a gunshot wound to his chest at his farmhouse in Talamba, Punjab. His death was initially reported as an accident but later confirmed as a suicide by his elder brother Maulana Yousaf Jamil. He was buried in his ancestral graveyard in Tulamba.
