About me / Bio:
Friedrich Fromm was a German Army officer who served in World War I and World War II. He was in charge of training and personnel replacement for the German Army, and had a significant role in the armaments production. He was aware of the plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler on 20 July 1944, but did not actively support it. He tried to save himself by arresting some of the conspirators, but was later arrested by Heinrich Himmler and executed for treason. He was a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. He was married to Gertrud Schröder and had one daughter, Helga Heinke. He was known for his professionalism and efficiency as a military leader.
