About me / Bio:
Louis Ferdinand was a nephew of King Frederick the Great and a grandson of King Frederick William I. He was a talented musician and composer, who studied under Ludwig van Beethoven and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach. He also had a passion for military affairs and participated in the French Revolutionary Wars and the Napoleonic Wars. He was considered a hero by the Prussian people for his bravery and patriotism. He died at the age of 33 during the Battle of Saalfeld, where he led a charge against a larger French force. His death was mourned by many of his contemporaries, including Beethoven, who dedicated his Piano Concerto No. 3 in C minor to him.
