Rudolf Muus

Rudolf Muus was a prolific and popular Norwegian writer who wrote in various genres, such as historical fiction, crime fiction, romance, comedy, and urban stories. He was interested in Norwegian history and culture, and often depicted the life and environment of Kristiania (now Oslo) in his novels. He also translated several German and English novels. He wrote under many pseudonyms, such as Rollo, Sigmund Tofte, Bjørn Farmann, and Maximos. He started writing at a very young age, and published his first work in Morgenbladet in 1881. He was educated as a teacher and a philosopher, but devoted his life to writing. He was married to a musician and had a large family. He was a well-known and widely read author in his time, but his works are now largely forgotten.
