Feras Saied

Feras Saied was a Syrian bodybuilder who competed in many national and international contests. He started his career in 2000, when he won the IFBB Arab Championships in the junior category. He also placed third at the IFBB World Championships that year. He continued to win or place high in various competitions, such as the IFBB Ludus Maximus Championships, the IFBB Gran Prix One Way Fitness, the IFBB Italian Championships, and the IFBB World Amateur Championships. He earned his IFBB Pro Card in 2011, after winning the IFBB Arnold Classic Europe Amateur in the super heavyweight and overall categories. He also won the 19 Grand Prix Due Torri that year. He competed in the FIBO Power Pro and the Mr. Europe Pro in 2012, and placed second at the IFBB California State Pro in 2015. His competition weight was 282 lbs (128 kg). Feras Saied was also a revolutionary and a member of the Syrian military forces. He participated in some demonstrations against the Assad regime, which led to his capture and torture by the authorities. He managed to escape and fled to Italy, where he lived for several years. He then moved to Dubai, where he died in a motorcycle accident in 2015. He was nicknamed "The Lion" for his courage and strength. He was an inspiration for many athletes and bodybuilders, especially from the Arab world. He was a Muslim and followed his faith. He was 34 years old when he passed away.
